Old Age Hoons

They speed limit trucks, they speed limit buses, but old age pensioners are allowed to terrorize their youngers in their electric powered mobility scooters of death.

So what if they've been banned from the road, labelled with the inflammatory and misleading diagnosis of being legally blind. If these elderly warriors can drive to a store, they argue, they are anything but legally blind.

Mobility scooters can weigh 250 kg, on a hill they purr silently along at 4 times walking speed. Their seated drivers, who are often capable of little more than keeping the beast on the footpath, wave their handicapped parking sticker in the air as they graze and brush past startled pedestrians.

You don't need a licence for these things, you don't need lessons to drive, just strap yourself in, mount the steepest hill and let that handbrake off. Wheeeeeeeeee!

Life comes full circle to these scooterists, just as we all move for a lady with a pram - we now all move for a lady in an electric chariot. We have to - if we don't, death awaits. As Jim Morrison once sang - there's a killer on the road.

This book was so intriguing I hardly put it down. Wonderfully written it does not linger on any
one event nor does it speed through scenes making it a poor read. The characters were well
thought out and the inner turmoils they all face are far from dull.

 Great read.

A story filled with with love, hate, violence, peace and so much more. 538 pages of wondering what will happen
next. A FULL story from start to finish. Thanks to the author for sharing a great work with the readers.

For this to have been a free book, it was wonderful. The author keeps you on the edge of your seat. I couldn't
put this down. I think this would make a great movie!

 Amazing

Perfectly written with great detail it was thought provoking and asked the fundemental question of would you
stick up for what you believed was right even if you would be killed for doing so.
